Megan: First Impressions

After our long and tiring journey half way around the world, we are finally in Beijing, China!! The flight from Detroit to Beijing was the longest straight period of travel that I had ever experienced, and I began to really appreciate the idea of layovers in the middle of it. However, everyone made it through! When we arrived in Beijing, we met our translators Nancy, Joan and Leo who will be helping us over the next couple days. They are such great people and I can’t wait to get to know them better! Tomorrow we are visiting the US embassy and the Forbidden City and, if I can stay awake long enough to deal with this jet lag, I know it will be a fantastic time! 🙂
