The What On Earth series is a collection of web-based educational video segments about Earth Science topics available for use in your classroom. These segments cover most of the topics in the Earth Science curriculum with an emphasis on North Carolina land and water. First produced in the 1970s as 30-minute programs, the videos have been digitized and re-edited in order to divide episodes into stand-alone segments. Below are the episodes and segments with links to view the videos and see complete descriptions. Each of the segments was designed to stand alone. You may wish to use a segment to introduce its topic, to provide a review for the topic or to help an absent student catch up on subject material. You may use these videos without restriction. Therefore, you may edit a segment to suit your instructional program. We only ask that these videos not be used for commercial purposes.
